Seattle’s not the only city celebrating America’s Birthday on July 4! Here are some of the other local communities with entertainment, parades, family fun and fireworks!

It’s the Eastside’s Premier 4th of July Event! Enjoy an all-star lineup of entertainment including live music by The Buckaroo Blues Band and free kids’ activities – all leading up to the Eastside’s largest fireworks display, set to a live performance by the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra on the Republic Services Main Stage. Plus, stop by the 94.1 KMPS booth beginning at 6:00 pm for giveaways and to meet on-air personalities. And tune in to 94.1 FM for the live on-site broadcast from the event!

A fun filled day at Lake Meridian Park on the shore of Lake Meridian on the east side of Kent. The Splash features family activities including old fashioned games, hands on art projects, demonstrations, a wide variety of food vendors and continuous stage entertainement. The Splash is highlighed by a performance by the Air Force Marching Band and one of the largest fireworks displays in South King County.

Fireworks will light up the sky over Celebration Park for Federal Way’s 20th annual Red, White and Blues Festival. The family fun begins at 6pm July 4th with live music, crafts and activities for all ages. Admission is free to the biggest celebration of the year in Federal Way! This year’s festival includes live music from Puget Sound artists Bullet Creek, Mr. Pink and The New Blues Brothers. World renowned performer and Federal Way resident, Roberto the Magnificent will resume duties as the main stage Master of Ceremonies. Activities for children and families will include patriotic arts and crafts, three-legged races, a tug-of-war, a hot dog eating contest, and an open volleyball court. A variety of food vendors will be onsite to offer barbecue, sandwiches, salads, espresso, snacks and other fare. The evening will finish with the best fireworks display in town! Festivalgoers will have a front row seat to the 20-minute choreographed fireworks show put on by Entertainment Fireworks Inc. at 10:15pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for watching the fireworks.

On July 4th it’s the big event all along the Ruston Way waterfront! Follow the parade down Colby and Wetmore Avenues, between Wall and 26th streets. Then, starting at 1:00pm, enjoy a family picnic on the grassy bluff overlooking Port Gardner Bay. With free kids’ activities, a food fair, live music, and a stunning view of the fireworks over Port Gardner Bay, there’s something for everyone. Catch the free Everett Transit shuttle at the Everett Community College Broadway lot or Everett Station. The night caps off with amazing Thunder on the Bay Fireworks at 10:20pm!
