This Wednesday and Thursday, August 8 and 9, it’s the NW Distillery and Cocktail Festival at Sodo Park. The Northwest Distillery and Cocktail Festival presents the largest gathering of distillers, cocktail enthusiasts and mixologists in the state of Washington. You’ll find the finest in artisanal spirits and craft bartending in the NW region.
On Wednesday, you can purchase tickets for a day filled with seminars by some of the nation’s best mixologists, distillers and proprieters. You’ll learn proper cocktail techniques to how to distill fine whiskey. Seminars run from 12:00pm – 5:00pm, and there are plenty of tastings involved. Tickets are available online HERE.
Starting at 6:00pm on Wednesday, August 8, it’s the NW Cocktail Competition. Cocktail enthusiasts and professionals come together for this fun evening of tasting signature drinks from top NW bartenders. Mingle with the judges and the crowd in this “round table” style competition and taste the winning entries. All ticket holders for this event get to caste a vote for the People’s Choice Awards.
On Thursday, August 9, you are invited to the Grand Tasting Celebration starting at 7:00pm. Dress in your Roaring ’20s best, and head to the most epic Classic Cocktail Party in Seattle since Prohibition! Featured are tastes of NW Spirits including Gin, Vodka, Whiskey and locally crafted micro-brews. Plus, a portion of sales benefits Seattle Chefs Collaborative! And you’ll enjoy delicious bites from local chefs from Bastille Cafe & Bar, Taylor Shellfish Farms, Copperleaf Restaurant, Fresh Bistro and many more local hot spots!
